Councillor Mike Williamson, vice-convener of Perth and Kinross Council’s Housing & Social Wellbeing Committee, officially opened the show home at Persimmon Homes North Scotland’s Kinloch Brae development in Blairgowrie.

He was joined by Persimmon sales director, Tanya Fowlie, to cut the ribbon and mark the occasion.

Kinloch Brae will deliver 152 homes, ranging from three-bedroom semi-detached properties to five-bedroom detached houses. Each home has been designed with modern living in mind and is around 30% more energy efficient than the average new build.

The development also includes open public spaces for recreation and a detailed drainage strategy to enhance flood resilience in the area. Persimmon Homes’ investment includes over £800,000 to support local schools, while the construction phase is expected to generate nearly 100 jobs per year on site, with an additional 70 roles across the local supply chain.

Councillor Mike Williamson added: “I was delighted to officially open the new show home at Kinloch Brae. It is encouraging to see significant investment in Blairgowrie, reflecting the positive partnership between Persimmon Homes and Perth & Kinross Council to increase the supply of high-quality, energy-efficient and affordable homes for local people. I look forward to seeing this development become a vibrant neighbourhood.”

Tanya Fowlie, sales director at Persimmon Homes North Scotland, said: “We are thrilled to officially open the first show home at Kinloch Brae. This development offers an exciting opportunity for local families to move into a modern, energy-efficient home at an accessible price. With high-quality design, sustainable features, and a focus on community, Kinloch Brae is the perfect place to start the next chapter of family life in Blairgowrie.”
