David was the twin brother of the founder and managing director of Covanburn Contracts, Alex Stewart.

Since childhood, they were very close. Covanburn Contracts has said that its thoughts are with Alex and all of the Stewart family as they face this loss.

The late facilities manager had a sudden, severe illness and died at the end of last month.

Many of Covanburn’s clients will have known David well and worked alongside him on many occasions.

David worked with Covanburn for a period of two years.

Prior to this, David had a career in the motor industry with Parks of Hamilton.

Covanburn has asked any clients who normally dealt with David directly to call through to the office instead on 01355 208895, where they will be assisted, and has said that it appreciates all the condolence and support messages it has received.
