Cumbernauld windows systems firm scoops Euro award

CMS Window Systems, the windows systems company based in Cumbernauld, has just won a prestigious European Business Award for the Environment (EBAE).

The Management (medium and large) Award was presented to Martin McCrimmon from CMS Window Systems by Joanna Drake, Deputy Director General, DG Environment, European Commission and Marko Pomerants, Minister of the Environment, Estonia.

At the ceremony, Minister Pomerants described the winners as ‘Europe’s best; Europe’s most environmentally friendly and Europe’s most innovative,” adding “all the nominees for this year’s EBAEs have taken important steps to take us closer to a resource efficient circular economy; and we are here to celebrate their achievements.



“These enterprises prove that eco-innovation has a key role in European competitiveness.”​

The Awards celebrate those companies at the forefront of eco-innovation, or that have a respect for the environment at the very core of their business principles.

The Awards ceremony took place in Tallinn, Estonia on October 27th.

This year, Germany, along with Spain, produced the most companies on the shortlist.
