Dab Den to tackle central belt market with new Glasgow office

Dab DenAn Aberdeenshire architect-led construction firm is expanding into Glasgow after a successful period of growth.

Banchory-based Dab Den, which designs and builds contemporary new build houses, house extensions, and luxury garden rooms, said the new office will “offer all the services currently provided in the North East”.

The firm offers customers a service which takes care of every aspect of domestic construction projects, from architectural design right through to completion.

Set up eight years ago by Katharine and Kerr Byers, the pair offer its signature Dab Den Garden Rooms, Dab Extensions and Dab Dwellings, as well as bespoke developments including home offices, BBQ areas and gyms.

Dab Den co-founder, Katharine Byers said: “We started off building garden rooms for homes in the Aberdeenshire area and the business has really grown from there.

“We’re now also creating house extensions and homes both in the North East and across the central belt, so it makes sense to open our next office in Glasgow.

“Our one-stop shop service means that customers have the benefit of having an architect onsite throughout the project until handover, which increases the quality of the build, and is often too costly in a small project.”

The firm said it is looking to boost its growth, setting three-year project targets and using local suppliers.
