Multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy Harley Haddow has appointed David Campbell as national director of civil engineering.

With 30 years of experience, including two 11-year stints at two international multi-disciplinary firms, David will lead the civil engineering division nationally from its Glasgow office, supporting projects and clients across the UK.

The move comes alongside a period of substantial growth for the Glasgow team, which has almost tripled in the last year.

Joining recent appointees, associate director, Daniel Murray and senior structural engineers, Elinor Reeves, Eric Graham and Ruaridh Gray, the firm said David will add a wealth of knowledge and expertise to both business operations and project delivery.

David Campbell said: “Harley Haddow is a well-respected firm and I’m pleased to have joined the business as it enters its next chapter and 76th year.”

Colin Tait, director at Harley Haddow, added: “David’s appointment is an important one for the business nationally, but it is also a strong signal of our continued commitment to Glasgow. The team has grown significantly over the past two years and we are continuing to invest in people and leadership to support clients, projects and long-term growth.”
