Lindsays has announced that David Rose has joined its commercial property team as a partner from Dentons.

Mr Rose has decades of experience at the forefront of the commercial property market in Scotland.

Lindsays’ managing partner, Alasdair Cummings, said: “Our goal at Lindsays is to always attract the best talent Scotland has to offer to our firm, and so we’re delighted to welcome someone of David’s calibre to the team. Our commercial property offer is an important part of our growth plans in the coming years, and David’s appointment will be key to meeting our ambitions.”

Derek Nash, partner and head of the commercial property team at Lindsays, commented: “Over recent years, our team has gone from strength-to-strength. Having someone with David’s talent and experience join us in what will be a very interesting time for the market post-COVID means Lindsays will be ready to adapt and offer our clients excellent advice and counsel based on the latest analysis of market trends.”

Mr Rose added: “Lindsays has a strong presence in the commercial property market as well as a really strong reputation. For me, Lindsays offers the ideal opportunity as the full service offering to clients, is a good fit and it has the added benefit of enabling me to return to my roots in Dundee to work with, and be part of, the community.

“There is little doubt that the post-COVID commercial property market will be challenging - people will be changing how they work, and investors will be looking much more closely at proposals.

“However, with increasing numbers of new finance and investor players who are more nimble and have differing views on risk, interesting projects with good potential returns should still get finance even if the larger lenders slow down for a while. On the far side of this crisis, there may well be a greater demand for more creative innovative commercial property which works for the new post-COVID normal.”
