Demolition of former Aberdeen school begins

Central Demolition Ltd is today beginning the demolition of a former school building in Dyce, Aberdeen.
The former Carden School was last used as a school in 2010, though has been used on occasion since then.
Aberdeen City Council said the building has been declared surplus to requirements and needs to come down due to health and safety requirements.
The Falkirk-based demolition company was awarded the demolition contract for around £90,500 in June.
“The site is included within the local development plan which will allow the potential for future use of the site to be considered,” the council said.
