Developer seeks to revive housing plan on Easterhouse fields

A developer has asked Glasgow City Council to renew planning permission for a residential development on farmland at Easterhouse.

Planning permission in principle was granted in 2017 for housing on fields between Dungeonhill Road and Netherhouse Road.

The consent has now expired and Capper Farming Enterprises has asked for it to be renewed.

The developer has said up to 49 properties would be built and around a quarter of the site would be kept as green space.

A further application seeking detailed approval would also be required.

The site would integrate with plans which are being taken forward for new ‘villages’ with around 1,500 houses on neighbouring farmland.
