DJ Laing Homes is supporting New Homes Week 2023 with a new report showing that new build homes are so energy efficient that they could save buyers more than £3,100 on their annual energy bills.

The annual event, which will take place from 27 February to 3 March 2023, is designed to promote the benefits of buying a new home and raise awareness of the latest innovations in the house building industry.

With the Energy Price Guarantee (EPG) increasing on 1 April 2023, buyers of new build homes could save an average of more than £2,500 per year on their energy bills.

According to HBF analysis, 85% of new build homes have an A or B EPC rating, while just 4% of older properties achieve the same energy-efficiency grade. This means that buyers of new build homes can benefit from a range of energy-saving features, including thicker insulation, efficient heating systems, the latest double-glazing and solar panels, resulting in lower energy bills and a reduced carbon footprint.

“We are thrilled to offer our customers new build homes that are not only modern and stylish but also energy-efficient,” said Karen Nicoll, managing director of DJ Laing Homes. “We believe that everyone should have access to affordable, energy-efficient homes that are built to the highest modern standards and innovation.”

During the week, DJ Laing Homes will showcase its commitment to providing high-quality homes that meet the needs and expectations of today’s homebuyers.

“We are delighted to support New Homes Week 2023,” said Karen Nicoll. “This important event provides an excellent opportunity to showcase the many advantages of buying a new build home with the latest innovations in home design and construction.”

She added. “The potential savings with running costs is paramount, especially with energy prices rising.”
