DJ Laing signs up to Building Mental Health Charter
Employees working at property and civil engineering company DJ Laing Group are to see further improvements to their working environment.
To celebrate Mental Health Awareness month in October, the company signed up to the Building Mental Health Charter.
The charter will see DJ Laing pledge to increase awareness/understanding of mental health issues, offer support to staff and encourage conversations about the issue.
The firm will also appoint a mental health first aider to assist with the pledges.
Karen Nicoll, managing director, said: “We care about the mental health of our male-dominated workforce and encourage our team to support each other and seek help if they have any worries. A problem shared is very often halved, so don’t suffer in silence.”
