DM Hall is once again significantly investing in its talent pool with a record intake of graduates to the chartered surveying profession.

The 128-year-old firm, which has been expanding into the wider UK from its established base of offices across Scotland, is bringing in 15 new graduates, the largest single annual intake in the firm’s living memory.

They will take up positions across DM Hall’s wide range of surveying disciplines and locations and will participate in a structured training programme which will prepare them for their RICS Assessment of Professional Competence.

In recognition of the importance of the quality of talent, partner Ian Woods, head of the West of Scotland Commercial Valuation department, will be taking on further Learning and Development and graduate recruitment roles.

John McHugh, managing partner of DM Hall, said: “It is very satisfying to be able to give these talented and dedicated young people the opportunity to create a career in a rewarding, respected and socially useful profession.

“They bring up-to-the-minute knowledge from their university courses, fresh perspectives and technological fluency to the mix and they will very quickly learn to contribute substantially to their departments.

“The surveying profession is always facing new challenges – in the current climate from new technologies and increasingly complex regulations – and these young people will be among the cohort who will meet and overcome these challenges.”
