Donaldson Timber Systems enters partnership with home supplier
UK offsite timber frame manufacturer Donaldson Timber Systems has entered a partnership with architect-designed home supplier HebHomes to deliver the timber frame structure for their homes in the UK, Ireland and globally.
The manufacturer and home supplier have honed and developed construction details to satisfy the specific needs of HebHome customers.
With many buildings being situated in remote or technically difficult areas, the teams have enhanced buildability and logistics for challenging sites while still fulfilling the design intent.
The manufacturer has formed a closed panel system using its Sigma II technology.
With weather potentially having a massive effect on the build programme for homes situated on rural or exposed sites, the precision and offsite manufacture of the Sigma II system works to cut time spent on site.
As of yet, five projects have been completed, with these being in Northern England, Oban, Scarfskerry, Glenelg & Westhill. More projects are scheduled for later in 2026.
Gary Shaw, head of key accounts (north) at Donaldson Timber Systems, said: “HebHomes is a fantastic business, offering a high-end, energy-efficient product that we’re proud to put our name to.
“Our Sigma II Build System aligns perfectly with HebHomes’ design-led approach, delivering excellent U-values and supporting the high-performance building standards their clients expect.”
Fraser Stewart, operations director at HebHomes, said: “From the outset, we recognised that Donaldson Timber Systems shared many of the same core values as us, with a strong commitment to quality, sustainability and innovation in modern construction.
“The greatest benefit has been the strength of the partnership.”
The manufacturer has more than 50 years of offsite timber frame expertise.
