Esh Border Construction will be exhibiting at Scotland’s newest industry showcase event this week to assist its business growth target for 2016.

The Livingston-based construction company, part of Esh Group, will be on stand E3 at the inaugural Scotland Build, taking place at the SECC in Glasgow on 25-26 November 2015.

The event – Scotland’s leading new construction show – will feature 125 international exhibitors, 22 CPD-accredited workshops, and is expected to attract more than 5,000 visitors.

The Scottish construction industry is growing at its strongest rate in five years, with contracts outperforming most other areas of the UK – and Esh Border Construction is keen to meet and network with contractors and suppliers as it aims to build collaborative partnerships for 2016.

The company is looking to secure new opportunities, and believes Scotland Build will help to demonstrate its strategic plans, while providing it with a platform for showcasing its extensive offering.

With an estimated £40 billion of contracts set to be awarded in Scotland across the next four years, the SECC gathering is where many key relationships will be formed as key industry players engage and network over the two days.

Esh Border Construction underlined its commitment to Scotland earlier this year with the opening of its Livingston base, and has continued to enjoy a robust pipeline, which includes new build developments, high profile regeneration work, and quality social housing.

It was recently named the appointed contractor on Historic Scotland’s prestigious £8.9 milion Engine Shed Project in Forthside, Stirling.

Simon Phillips, regional managing director for Esh Border Construction, said: “We are pleased to have the opportunity of exhibiting at Scotland’s newest construction event, and to be playing a part in its exciting launch at the SECC.

“Our presence demonstrates the importance that we place on developing strong industry relationships and joining the debate on how to ensure that confidence is maintained across the construction sector after some very challenging times.

“We are looking forward to making a contribution, emphasising our offering to an increasingly vibrant sector, and driving further value in the marketplace.

“We’ve witnessed considerable growth across the Scottish construction sector in recent years as the economy has returned to pre-2008 levels, and it’s clear that opportunities for businesses like ours have widened significantly in tandem.

“The Scottish Government is now building nearly five times as many social housing projects as the rest of the UK, and Esh Border Construction has been in a great position to be part of that.

“Of course, a major part of any company’s success is its partners, and we firmly believe that coming together with everyone involved in the built environment on 25-26 November will allow us the opportunity of growing our businesses together.”
