Factor firm removed from second Ayr residential development

Tenants in two residential developments in Ayr have removed the factor company charged with managing the properties.

Factor firm removed from second Ayr residential development

Last month the Ayrshire Post reported that Donald Ross Residential Factoring was dropped from the Dalblair Court retirement complex amid concerns that general repairs including gardening and communal building work not being looked after properly.

Now tenants at Inkerman Court in the town have issued a formal Notice of Contract Termination to the company.

The formal notice states ten breaches of the Property Factors (Scotland) Act 2011 including a failure to “respond to multiple emails from multiple owners” and emails and calls from external agencies and contractors.

Residents at Inkerman Court voted unanimously to remove the firm.

Anthony D’Arcy, chairman of the Inkerman Court committee, told the Ayrshire Post: “I can confirm the Inkerman Court committee and owners issued a formal Notice of Contract Termination to Donald Ross Residential Factoring Limited at our AGM on Thursday July 2. Their contract ends with us on July 31.”
