Founded in Glasgow in the 1960s, Welding Engineers has evolved from a family business into a national provider with 180 employees across six UK branches. The company specialises in the installation, fabrication, and maintenance of industrial doors, designed to withstand heavy use and harsh conditions. They are essential across a range of sectors including manufacturing, logistics and automotive, where health and safety regulations mandates regular servicing, which is a highly specialist skillset.

The investment is designed to help Welding Engineers capitalise on growth opportunities within a fragmented market. Foresight intends to support the company in executing strategic acquisitions to consolidate its position as a market leader.

Tod Harrison and Derek Smith have joined the company as non-executive chair and non-executive director respectively, and bring extensive facilities management and engineering services experience.
