Fraser Sinclair has taken over Williams Windows & Doors as CEO and business owner following the successful acquisition of the company from its founder, William Traynor.

Founded nearly three decades ago, the Clydebank-based business has long-standing relationships with both trade professionals and the public across the West of Scotland.

Mr Sinclair, who brings over 20 years of experience in corporate banking and financial markets, steps into the role with a vision to honour the company’s strong legacy while steering it into its next chapter of growth.

“I have always loved manufacturing, and have always coveted the opportunity to take ownership of a manufacturing business to see where I could take it,” he said.

“The opportunity is both humbling and hugely exciting. I am mindful of our history – looking forward to celebrating the company’s 30th birthday in February 2026 – and also firmly focused on the future.

“I am conscious of the need to continue to innovate with new products and ideas, become a more digital business, and grow our online presence.”

With decades of technical know-how and a dedicated workforce already in place, Williams Windows is poised for strategic investment and digital transformation.

Mr Sinclair said: “The business is lucky to have a wealth of experience. Most staff have served for 20+ years and are life-long industry experts.

“As CEO, I aim to guide the business towards our goal of being ready for the next 30 years – modernising our fleet and machinery, investing in training, and growing the team.”

The company continues to manufacture from its factory in Clydebank, supplying a wide range of windows and doors – from uPVC and aluminium to bespoke composite units – for both domestic customers and trade professionals across Scotland.
