Galliford Try reclassified as house builder

Galliford_TryGalliford Try has today said it has been notified by FTSE Client Services that the Group will be reclassified into the Home Construction subsector from the Heavy Construction subsector.

The reclassification reflects the success of the Group’s strategy to grow its Housebuilding division, which includes Linden Homes and Galliford Try Partnerships, alongside its Construction division.

This change will be implemented after the UK market closes on December 19, with Galliford Try’s first day of trading in the Home Construction subsector being December 22.

The company said: “Galliford Try, the housebuilding and construction group, announces that it has been notified by FTSE Client Services that the Group will be reclassified into the Home Construction subsector from the Heavy Construction subsector.



“The reclassification reflects the success of the Group’s strategy to grow its Housebuilding division, which includes Linden Homes and Galliford Try Partnerships, alongside its Construction division.

“This change will be implemented after the UK market closes on Friday 19 December 2014 with Galliford Try’s first day of trading in the Home Construction subsector being Monday 22 December 2014.”
