Savills has appointed Georgie Harding-Edgar as director in its infrastructure team.
Georgie joins Savills with more than 15 years’ experience advising on some of the UK’s most significant infrastructure and energy projects. She joins from Vattenfall Wind Power Limited, where she focused on onshore market development.
Throughout her career, Georgie has supported the delivery of nationally significant infrastructure schemes including Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C power stations, High Speed 2 (HS2), the A38 and M54 road schemes, as well as Cleve Hill Solar Park and a range of onshore wind developments.
Georgie brings extensive experience working on all land aspects of major infrastructure projects, including land referencing, acquisition, negotiations, compulsory purchase and Development Consent Order applications.
In her new role, Georgie will advise clients on the planning and delivery of major infrastructure projects across the UK, helping to expand Savills’ expertise in this dynamic sector.
Georgie also became a RICS Registered Expert Witness in 2020.
Georgie said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Savills at such an exciting time for major projects in the UK. Land assembly and consenting are often the biggest risk on Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects and I look forward to bringing my experience to Savills’ clients as the pipeline of infrastructure projects continues to grow.”
Guy Russell, Savills head of infrastructure, added: “We are delighted to welcome Georgie to the team. Her recognised profile and experience in the sector will further boost our capability to confidently deliver a growing portfolio of major projects across the UK.”
