The Digital Nexus building will provide collaborative research spaces designed to help tackle major global challenges, such as climate change and dementia. It will also offer state-of-the-art teaching rooms, informal learning and networking spaces, a café, and landscaped outdoor areas for the University community.

The £60 million purpose-built facility will be the heart of science and medicine facilities on the North Haugh, replacing several existing buildings.

This landmark building, part of a wider redevelopment of the North Haugh supported by the University’s £300 million Making Waves campaign, will bring together talented researchers, from undergraduates to postgraduates keen to make a difference, with established teaching and research colleagues to form an intellectual powerhouse that will educate, inspire and discover solutions.

It will also enable the growth and diversification of St Andrews’ outreach activity, including dedicated Gateway to Science and summer programmes.
