Henry Brothers to deliver projects at HM Naval Base Clyde
Henry Brothers has been selected to carry out three new projects at His Majesty’s Naval Base Clyde (HMNB Clyde) on behalf of Babcock International Group.
Security fencing enhancement for a key support building within Faslane, supply and installation of specialist ballistic security shelters across the base, and the refurbishment of a current Pressure Test Building form part of the projects.
The £2.55 million programme forms part of Babcock’s continued investment in critical infrastructure at HMNB Clyde, making sure the facilities and assets needed to support the Royal Navy’s Vanguard and Astute-class submarine fleets remain sustainable.
Nick McKeown, regional director for Scotland at Henry Brothers, said: “Being appointed to deliver these new projects at HMNB Clyde reflects the trust Babcock places in Henry Brothers and our capability in delivering complex, secure and highly specialised infrastructure.
“Our workforce has extensive experience across the defence sector, and we remain committed to ensuring the Royal Navy’s operational facilities are robust, resilient and fit for purpose.”
McKeown added: “These new appointments strengthen our partnership with Babcock and underline our shared focus on delivering high‑quality, dependable facilities for the submarine fleet.”
The work will start immediately, and all the projects form part of the continued modernisation and improvement of facilities across the Clyde estate.
