Mr Martin brings a distinguished editorial career spanning some of Scotland’s most respected newspaper titles. He previously served as editor-in-chief of The Herald, editor-in-chief of DC Thomson, editor of the Sunday Post, Glasgow Evening Times and the Evening Express in Aberdeen — roles that established him as one of the country’s most experienced newsroom leaders.

In his new consultant role at HM&E, Mr Martin will provide editorial guidance and support across the company’s growing portfolio of titles, which includes Scottish Legal News, Scottish Construction Now, Scottish Housing News, Daily Business, Scottish Financial News, Irish Legal News, Dram Scotland, Hotel Scotland and the soon-to-be re-launched ScottishNews.com. The portfolio reaches a combined audience of more than 60,000 newsletter subscribers and 105,000 LinkedIn followers.
