Hiboo signs contract with Blackwood Plant Hire

French company Hiboo, which works in data and decarbonsation management for industrial fleets, has signed two collaborations with Blackwood Plant Hire in the UK and DRON Location in France.
Hiboo announced a major expansion of its customer portfolio during Bauma, the world’s 34th leading trade fair for construction machinery and equipment, held in Munich from 7 to 13 April.
In October 2024, Hiboo had already signed a strategic partnership with Halomec Ltd, for its operations in UK and Ireland. The French company has signed a contract for the next three years with Scottish rental company Blackwood Plant Hire, under which it will manage data for their entire fleet and support their growth.
Hiboo will provide access to the location of its partner’s vehicles - enabling them to be geo-fenced - their fuel and carbon consumption rates, inactivity rates, fault codes and live real-time data from manufacturers. Hiboo will also offer an additional service to Blackwood’s customers by opening dedicated accounts so they can access their own site data.
The Hiboo platform provides a unified, real-time view of equipment usage. It facilitates automated monitoring of the carbon footprint, optimises transport and maintenance, and speeds up decision making thanks to reliable and shared data.
