Jason Millett to stand down as Mace Construct CEO

Jason Millett is to stand down as group chief executive of Mace Construct at the end of the year and step back from the Mace group board.

Jason will spend time exploring new opportunities, as well as his role on the board of the newly independent Mace Consult.

He will remain in post until the end of the year, supporting Mace Construct as it develops its new identity and strategy. The planned timing reflects the completion of the group’s demerger of its Consult business and transition to a more simplified and focused construction business.

During his tenure as group CEO, the business has successfully secured investment in Mace Consult and separated it as an independent business, won several major construction appointments, and delivered strong operational performance during 2025.

Jason joined Mace in 2008 as part of the CLM delivery partner joint venture, where he played a leading role and ultimately became programme director during the delivery of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. He was part of the management buyout of Mace in 2013 and went on to hold several board roles.

In 2020, he became chief executive of Mace Consult, where he led its global growth. He was appointed deputy group chief executive of Mace in 2024 and, since January 2025 has led the group as chief executive.

During the transition, Mark Reynolds CBE, executive chair, will return to a more active role within Mace Construct, ensuring continuity of strategic direction and supporting the Group’s executive committee and construction leadership team.

Mark Reynolds CBE, executive chair of Mace Construct, said: “Jason has played a crucial role in the success of the business over the past 18 years and, during his tenure as chief executive, has provided exceptional leadership across both our Consult and Construct teams.

“On behalf of the board and shareholders, I would like to thank Jason for his service and wish him the very best for the future. Over the coming months, Jason and I will work closely together as he transitions out of the business, and the Board shapes its future leadership plans for Mace Construct as we develop our new identity and strategy.”

Jason Millett, group chief executive of Mace Construct, said: “I am immensely proud to have played a role in Mace’s journey, from building Mace Consult into a renowned global programme manager to supporting the exceptional Mace Construct team in their work across the UK.

“Following the successful separation of Mace Consult, this felt like a natural moment to reflect on what comes next. I’m grateful to Mace for the opportunity to complete this chapter properly, and to the colleagues, clients and partners who have supported me along the way.

“I believe Mace Construct has a strong sense of direction and a significant opportunity ahead as a simpler and more focused business, and while the time is right for me to step back, I’m very much looking forward to continuing to contribute to the industry in new ways.”
