Keynote speaker announced for BIM Convention

The newly appointed chair of Scottish BIM Delivery Group, David Philp will deliver the keynote speech at the BIM Convention on Thursday 22 October at the Glasgow City Hotel, Cambridge Street.

David is director of Building Information Modelling (BIM) for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India (EMEA and India) for AECOM. He was seconded into the UK BIM Task Group as head of BIM in 2011 and is now chair of the Scottish Future Trust’s BIM Delivery Group.

David is also a Fellow of the RICS, CIOB and ICE. He has completed the Virtual Design and Construct at Stanford University, CA. and is a Professor at Glasgow Caledonian University. David is also chair of the BIM4 community. David is passionate about the industry and perceives BIM as being a catalyst for reform.
