Kilmac wins Dundee's Seven Arches repair project

Kilmac Group has secured a contract from Dundee City Council to undertake enhancement works to the Seven Arches Viaduct.

Forming part of the LOT 3 Civils Framework, the project includes a range of improvements, including vegetation removal, replacement of the bridge deck wearing course, repointing of the bridge, and the restoration of missing arch stones.

Additionally, any adjacent trees posing a challenge to the structure will be expertly cut back.

Comprehensive diversion plans will be implemented throughout the duration of the project to minimise disruptions and ensure the wellbeing of the community.

The works are set to kick off in February 2024 with a completion date set for April 2024.

A spokesperson said: “At Kilmac, we are grateful to contribute to the preservation and improvement of such a vital piece of infrastructure. Our team is committed to delivering excellence, and we look forward to showcasing the transformation of the Seven Arches Viaduct over the course of this project.”
