Kinetic Demolition moves to employee ownership

Specialist demolition contractor Kinetic Demolition has taken a major step forward in its growth journey by becoming an employee-owned company, following the creation of an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT).

Founded in 2016, Kinetic has built a strong reputation for delivering safe, reliable, and highly technical demolition services in some of the most challenging environments. With offices in Stepps, Glasgow, and Edinburgh, the company employs 24 staff and operates across critical sectors including airports, defence, commercial, oil & gas, chemicals, and the drinks industry.

A proud member of the National Federation of Demolition Contractors (NFDC), Kinetic has achieved strong year-on-year growth and is ambitiously targeting further expansion over the next two years.

The transition to employee ownership means the newly formed EOT now holds 100% of Kinetic’s shares on behalf of its employees. This ensures the company’s independence while strengthening its commitment to service excellence, accountability, and long-term stability for clients.

James Warren, managing director of Kinetic Demolition, said: “Our success has always come from the skill, dedication, and integrity of our people. By moving to employee ownership, we are not only protecting the culture and values that define our business, but also ensuring that every member of our team directly shares in our future success. For our clients, it means an even stronger focus on delivering the safe, specialist, and high-quality services they expect from us.”

Employee ownership is gaining momentum across the UK construction and demolition industries as a proven model for sustainable growth. For Kinetic, this move safeguards its independence while reinforcing its position as a trusted partner for complex and technical demolition projects.

As employee-owners, Kinetic’s team is more invested than ever in delivering results. This evolution marks a new chapter for the company while preserving the values that have guided its journey for the past nine years.
