Landed Real Estate launches in Aberdeen following Hutcheon Mearns Real Estate rebrand

The business brings together founder Iain Landsman and Derren McRae, who leaves his role as head of office at CBRE Aberdeen to become co‑owner of the newly formed company.

Landsman and McRae are reuniting after previously working side‑by‑side at CBRE, where they built a market‑leading advisory business and established a reputation as both being trusted advisors in the commercial property sector.

Since its establishment by Iain Landsman in March 2023, Hutcheon Mearns Real Estate rapidly emerged as a prominent player in the Scottish commercial property sector. The company’s fresh and forward-thinking approach has been instrumental in achieving significant milestones within its first three years.

Derren McRae leaves his role as head of office at CBRE in Aberdeen to join the business as joint partners which will see the business re-branded to Landed Real Estate.

In addition to Derren joining the team, the business welcomed David Gavan back in December 2025. David has quickly made a name for himself as one of Scotland’s most emerging young talents in the sector. His drive and growing profile add further depth to the firm’s capability and ambition.

Iain Landsman said: “The last three years have been the most rewarding professionally of my career as I took the leap of faith to move from the comfort of a corporate environment to founding my own business.
