Mac Mic Group strengthens senior leadership with key promotions

Brian Dick and Jacqueline Primrose
Mac Mic Group has made two senior promotions within its leadership team including the appointment of Brian Dick as managing director.
Having joined the company in 2012 as a management accountant, Brian has played an instrumental role in its expansion over the past 13 years. After moving into the Investment Team, he led the creation and development of a new business unit. His commercial acumen and strategic leadership led to his promotion to head of investments in 2023.
Brian said: “It’s a real honour to step into the role of managing director at such a well-established and forward-focused business. Having grown with Mac Mic Group over the past decade, I’m proud to help lead the next phase — building on our legacy and embracing new opportunities.”
Brian has been at the forefront of several major transactions, including the Springfield deal — a landmark moment in the group’s strategic growth. He also serves on the board of iOPT, where he contributes to the broader group strategy and innovation.
Commenting on Brian’s promotion, group director Andrew Mickel said: Brian’s promotion is a testament not only to his sharp commercial acumen, but also to the trust and respect he has earned across the Group. His calm, considered leadership and deep understanding of our business make this a natural and well-earned progression.
“As we celebrate our Centenary year, it feels especially fitting to appoint someone who understands both the legacy we’ve built and the path ahead. Brian’s ability to lead with confidence, clarity, and insight positions him perfectly to guide Mac Mic Group into its next chapter.”
Mac Mic Group has also promoted Jacqueline Primrose to head of PRS (Private Rented Sector).
Since joining the business in 2012, Jacqueline has progressed through a range of finance roles, most recently serving as assistant management accountant. Over the past year, she has taken on increasing responsibility for PRS operations, working closely with senior leadership to develop this fast-growing area of the business.
Jacqueline said: “Having been part of Mac Mic Group for over a decade, it’s incredibly rewarding to take on this role. The PRS side of the business is fast-moving and full of opportunity, and I’m excited to keep building on the strong foundations we’ve created.”
Jacqueline’s promotion reflects her deep operational expertise, strong understanding of the business, and her role in shaping the group’s long-term PRS strategy.
Commenting on Jacqueline’s new appointment, Ross Mickel added: “Jacqueline’s journey at Mac Mic Group is a great example of the talent and dedication we’re proud to nurture. She brings real insight and a practical, forward-thinking approach to our PRS portfolio, and we’re excited to see her take it to the next level.”
