Major milestone reached in Cowdenbeath Town House redevelopment

The project aims to bring the much‑loved building back into use and make it a welcoming and useful place for local people.

The work is being supported through a range of investment, including £1.1 million from the Scottish Government’s Regeneration Capital Grant Fund, £1.1m from the Place Based Investment Fund, £126,966 from Fife Council’s Capital Fund and £35,000 from Cowdenbeath Area Committee.

Cllr Alex Campbell, Cowdenbeath Area Committee convener, said: “This is fantastic news for Cowdenbeath. The Town House has always been an important landmark, and now it’s on its way to becoming a busy community hub once again. I want to thank everyone who took part in shaping the plans—your voices have been crucial. This redevelopment will bring new opportunities, support local groups and help strengthen the town centre for years to come.”

The redevelopment will be delivered by HubCo and Linear, working alongside Fife Council and BRAG Enterprises.

When the work is complete, BRAG Enterprises will run the Town House and offer a range of accessible, community‑centred services.
