McGill welcomes another new director to its board

Sharon Craig has joined building services and construction contractor McGill as director of finance with responsibility for supporting the continued rapid and profitable growth of the business.

McGill has bolstered the top team in recent months in response to rapid and significant growth of the business. Sharon Craig joins recently recruited commercial director, Douglas Smith, who has been in position since April.

An experienced financial and commercial leader, Sharon joins the team having held the same position with global aquaculture technology company, Ace Aquatec, and previously, a number of financial and commercial roles within established local companies; Insights and YoYo Games.



McGill already has several large public sector and commercial contracts extending throughout 2021 and beyond, and has continued to win new, large-scale projects as the lockdown period comes to an end. To that end, Sharon Craig has been appointed as McGill’s director of finance, tasked with supporting the rapid growth of the business, ensuring sustainability and profitability.

McGill managing director Errol Lawrie said: “We are delighted to appoint Sharon and excited to have with us as we continue our rapid growth and further strengthen our board. Sharon is not only an experienced financial director, her commercial insight and understanding will support our team as we continue to win more complex and challenging contracts throughout Scotland.”
