Milnbank Housing Association invests in £1.4m programme of improvement works
Milnbank Housing Association has announced continued progress on a major programme of improvement works across Dennistoun and Haghill, with more than £1.4 million being invested in the maintenance and modernisation of its housing stock before the end of March 2026.
A key focus of the programme has been the ongoing stonework maintenance. The Association currently has six stonework projects on site, including a significant scheme at Cardross Street, which began in September 2025. These works involve essential external repairs to protect buildings, address longstanding issues and support the long-term condition of Milnbank’s traditional tenement stock.
Work has started on the £450,000 kitchen installation programme, which is due to finish at the start of next year. The new kitchens will provide modern new kitchen units and have been well received by the tenants, who are looking forward to their new kitchens being installed.
Further investment has been delivered in Armadale Court, where a number of properties have been refurbished and internal layouts redesigned to create more usable space and meet modern living standards.
Chair of Milnbank Housing Association, Allan Scott, said: “We are pleased to see strong progress across these important projects. Investing over £1.4m this year demonstrates our commitment to keeping our homes in good condition and ensuring they meet the needs of our tenants.”
