Neil Martin appointed planning director at Persimmon East Scotland

Persimmon East Scotland has promoted Neil Martin to the role of planning director, as the business continues to grow its presence across Forth Valley and the Lothians.
Neil, who joined Persimmon in 2022 as senior land manager, brings more than 30 years of planning and development experience to the role. His appointment underlines the company’s commitment to working closely with local authorities, communities, and stakeholders to support the delivery of energy-efficient homes and sustainable communities across the region.
Beginning his career in 1994 as an assistant planning officer at Tayside Regional Council, Neil has held a variety of senior roles within local government, consultancy, and the housebuilding industry, giving him a unique perspective and deep understanding of the planning landscape in Scotland.
In his new role, Neil will lead Persimmon East Scotland’s planning strategy, ensuring the business continues to make a positive contribution to the region’s housing supply while supporting local priorities.
