Plans have been unveiled to create a new £56 million medical manufacturing facility in Renfrewshire. The Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre (MMIC) will be built at the advanced manufacturing innovation district next to Glasgow Airport, offering pharmaceutical companies from start-ups to multinationals a way to develop new manufacturing techniques which speed up bringing new drugs to market.
