The facility was completed in October and has since been sold to a national operator this month, with 24/7 residential, nursing, and dementia care services set to support up to 54 residents, while also creating up to 100 jobs.

The home combines first-class clinical support with a welcoming environment that promotes independence and dignity. Each resident will have their own en-suite bedroom alongside access to a wide range of integrated amenities, including dining rooms and a visitor’s café served by professionally trained chefs, as well as a hair salon, cinema room, champagne bar, private family spaces, and landscaped gardens.

“This facility will help address the growing demand for care in Penicuik and surrounding areas, while also creating lasting benefits for the local economy through job creation.
