Ossian Architects has become a Certified B Corporation, joining a global movement of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
The Edinburgh-based practice, founded in 2022, is the only small architecture practice in Scotland to hold B Corp status, and one of fewer than twenty small architecture practices across the UK to achieve the certification.

Certification followed a rigorous year-long assessment process that examined every aspect of the practice’s operations. For Ossian Architects, the recognition builds on existing expertise in sustainability and conservation – areas that align closely with the B Corp movement’s focus on environmental and social impact.
Martin Flett, director of Ossian Architects, said: “As a six-person practice, achieving B Corp certification is a milestone we’re especially proud of. It shows that even small studios can commit to responsible business and set an example for the wider industry.”
