Newmark has appointed Paul Broad to lead its National Offices team in Glasgow.

The appointment further strengthens the business’s leasing and development advisory capability for office occupiers, investors and developers across Scotland.

Charles Toogood, head of National Office Agency, said: “Paul’s appointment reflects Newmark’s continued investment in top talent, strengthening our leadership in key markets such as Glasgow. Glasgow plays a central role in our Scottish coverage as a hub for both Glasgow and Edinburgh, complementing established strengths across the UK, including our market‑leading office agency team in Birmingham.”

The newly formed National Offices team in Glasgow, comprised of Broad, newly appointed Michael Facenna, Sven Macaulay and Ronan Ross, will focus on growing Newmark’s office leasing and development advisory capability across Scotland, with additional scope to broaden the business’s regional reach into other sectors as occupier and investor demand continues to evolve.

With more than 25 years’ experience in office agency and development consultancy, Broad brings extensive expertise in advising on and delivering prime Grade A office developments across Glasgow city centre and the wider regions, including Cadworks Glasgow and Barclays Campus at Buchanan Wharf.

He has also led major tenant representation and global client account management mandates, alongside strategic advisory work for public sector clients such as the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise and local councils. He joins Newmark from Avison Young, where he was most recently Managing Director of the National Offices team, UK.

Paul Broad added: “Scotland’s office market is starting to turn a corner, with occupational demand increasing and new opportunities emerging for well-located, high-quality office development. Newmark’s growing presence across the UK’s regional markets, combined with its global reach and client relationships, puts us in a strong position to capitalise on this momentum and deliver a best-in-class service for our clients.”
