Kingspark site plan

The developer will build 62 new homes at the site.

Planning approval for collection of three-bedroom semi through to three and four-bedroom detached houses at the site named Kingspark, was granted by Dundee City Council in October 2019 and work on-site is expected to get underway imminently.

It comes after the housebuilder successfully appealed against the local authority’s decision to refuse planning permission at the Inner House of the Court of Session.

James MacKay, technical director for Persimmon Homes North Scotland, said: “Dundee has proved to be a particularly popular residential hotspot.

“Our current sites in the area are consistently selling well and we are delighted to take the next step towards building new houses that meet the needs of the local housing market and community.

“Our ongoing investment in Dundee will include a range of three-bedroom semi and three and four-bedroom detached homes accessed from Gillburn Road.

“Work on the site is expected to get underway this month to ensure that the homes can be released onto the market for sale in Summer 2020.”
