Perth & Kinross Council will share its initial plans for the school on 14 September, including intensive support provision (ISP), a nursery as well as outdoor learning and play spaces, Urban Realm reports. 

The proposed school, which forms part of the Bertha Park masterplan, is to be sited to the immediate west of Bertha Park High School.

Emerging proposals coming from Hub East Central Scotland, Robertson and Architype are still under consideration but would include brick, metal cladding, powder-coated aluminium downpipes and high-performance timber/aluminium windows.

The applicant wrote in a consultation statement: “The school is approached by foot via pedestrian access routes from the north, with a landscaped plaza to the north of the building forming a point of arrival at the main entrance and immediately adjacent ISP entrance.

“Designated car parking is contained within the northeast corner of the site, adjacent to the existing Bertha Park High School car park. 

“The form of the building facilitates runs of classrooms to both the south and north. A designated nursery play area sits immediately east of the building and a designated ISP play area is to the north at the west end of the building.”

The event is scheduled to go ahead at Bertha Park High School, between 4pm and 7pm.
