Peterhead restaurant and hotel plans approved

Aberdeenshire CouncilPlans for a hotel and restaurant on the outskirts of Peterhead have been approved by Aberdeenshire Council.

The Buchan Gateway scheme at the Invernettie roundabout was first mooted in 2003 when developers hoped the site would become a location for shops, including a supermarket and a petrol station.

Now the local authority has approved a 70-bedroom hotel and pub restaurant for the site, the latter of which will be run by Marston’s Inns and Taverns.

The pub is expected to have parking for more than 100 visitors and include a second-floor living space for a landlord.

Muir Construction will develop the project which has been designed by 3D Reid.
