Procast Group launches new consulting business division

Jessica Scott and Gordon Ross

Principal contractor Procast Group has officially launched Procast Consulting, a new division created following the recent acquisition of Glasgow-based JC+P Property and Construction Consultants in December 2024.

The new consultancy arm, which builds on the 20-year legacy of JC+P (formerly James Clark & Partners Scotland), will strengthen Procast Group’s expertise in building surveying and cost consultancy services.

Heading up Procast Consulting is Gordon Ross, formerly director at JC+P, who continues as managing director and sits on the Procast Group Board.

Procast Group, headquartered in Hamilton and employing more than 130 staff, is a recognised leader in innovative multi-trade contracting and retrofit delivery.

The addition of Procast Consulting now expands the Group’s portfolio of businesses in all divisions to enhance our full turnkey business solution ethos.

The move strengthens Procast’s position in both public and private markets. While the Group continues to work extensively with housing associations and local authorities, the in-house consultancy division will also broaden opportunities in private developments, commercial property, and education sectors.

Procast Consulting is already recruiting quantity surveyors and building surveyors to meet growing demand.

Along with the development of Procast Consulting comes the recent appointment of Jessica Scott, who brings a wealth of knowledge not only in Environmental Management but also Retrofit co-ordination and Risk Management.

Jessica’s passion for making a difference to people’s homes and communities will be the starting point for leading our Retrofit Services Dept forward and linking in with Procast Consulting to support and develop the public and private sector’s Retrofit journeys.

Derek Innes, owner and managing director of Procast Group, said: “As we look to the future, the launch of Procast Consulting represents a significant milestone for the Group.

“The acquisition of JC+P in December, has given us an exceptional foundation, and the appointment of Jessica Scott further enhances our expertise in retrofit consultancy – a key area of growth as we help deliver more energy-efficient homes and commercial spaces across Scotland and beyond.

“This new division will allow us to offer even more value to our clients, expand our presence across different sectors, and continue our upward trajectory of adding a new business to our roster each year.”

Gordon Ross, managing director of Procast Consulting, added: “We are delighted to officially launch Procast Consulting within the Procast Group family. Moving forward as Procast Consulting feels like the most natural fit for the business and, with the support of specialists like Jess, we are in a strong position to grow, diversify and deliver projects of real value to our clients.”
