A Kirkcaldy hotel has been granted planning permission to build a new spa and wellness centre.

The owners of the Dean Park Hotel submitted the proposals to Fife Council at the start of the year.

Under the plans, the new building will include a new swimming pool, gymnasium, activity studio, changing rooms, day and hotel relaxation rooms, cafe and lounge spaces, spa and wellness facilities as well as a new extension consisting of 12 aqua spa bedrooms.

The two-storey project could cost up to £5 million.
