‘Working Together’ is an annual event held by Barratt and David Wilson Homes North Scotland, with the purpose of bringing together key partners and contractors to share important information and discuss their plans and opportunities for the future. This year the event took place digitally, bringing together businesses from Aberdeen, Inverness, and Dundee, instead of holding three separate events.

A key part of these events is the presentation of two awards, ‘Sub-contractor of the Year’ and ‘Supplier of the Year’, to recognise companies who have excelled whilst working on their developments in the past year.

R. Davidson is one of the longest established painting contractors in the North of Scotland and has been working for Barratt and David Wilson Homes North Scotland for over 15 years. Its team is currently working on seven developments across the region, in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Inverness, and Elgin.

Trevor Mutch said: “It’s always great to be recognised by a client but finding out we had won this award came as complete surprise. We are hugely proud of the working relationship we have with Barratt and David Wilson Homes North Scotland, both on site and between our management teams. We strive to work alongside them, with open communication and a proactive approach to getting things done, which has been especially important with the challenges of the past 18 months. This award is the result of a true team effort, from our apprentices to our management team, and we are absolutely delighted.

“We are also over the moon to find out that this award includes a £500 donation to the charity of our choice, and for us it has to be Cash for Kids, specifically their Coats for Kids campaign. Their goal is to ensure that every child has a warm coat for the winter, as too many local families have to choose between putting food on the table or buying warm clothing for their kids. This generous donation will go to very good use.”
