Kier has appointed Rachel Warren as its group finance director for transformation and to spearhead its financial shared service centre.
Rachel, who joins Kier this month, is a seasoned financial leader with extensive experience in leading change and action plans to support company strategies and growth ambitions. Rachel’s skills and expertise has supported many well-known companies, including British Airways, Aer Lingus, Wincanton, Sage and, most recently, Michelmersh, a leading brick manufacturer.
Joining Kier this month, Rachel will hold this leadership position alongside group finance director Basil Mendonca, and will work with functional and operational finance leaders.
Rachel Warren said: “I am delighted to be joining Kier at such an exciting time for the organisation. With long-term investment in UK infrastructure, I see a wealth of opportunity and I am looking forward to supporting the group’s ambitious plans.”
Tom Hinton, Kier’s chief financial officer, added: “Rachel is a fantastic financial leader who has decades of experience in transforming complex, operational businesses.
“She combines deep technical expertise with a practical, commercial mindset, and I’m really pleased to welcome her to the team. I know she’ll play a key role in supporting our next phase of growth.”
This role follows the appointment of Tom Hinton as the group’s chief financial officer, and follows a number of other senior leadership appointments including a trio of leadership roles in data, Samantha Coughlan assuming the role of chief information officer and Niki Steel joining as chief human resources officer.
The group is announcing its financial results on 15 September, with a trading update 21 July.
