Regional teams to drive growth for NorDan

Livingston-based windows and doors supplier NorDan has reinforced its support for projects across Scotland through its two regional divisions: Scotland North and Scotland South.

Each division is led by teams with local knowledge, delivering services tailored to the specific needs of their respective regions, the Central Belt and southern areas, and the Highlands, Islands, and northern cities.

NorDan’s presence in Scotland dates back over 40 years, beginning with its operations in Aberdeen. The region’s weather conditions, similar to those in Scandinavia, made it a natural entry point for NorDan’s weather-resistant window and door products.

The Scotland North division, managed by Nicola Webster and supported by Craig Thomson, works across a wide geography including Aberdeen, Inverness, the Highlands, and remote island communities. The team supports a variety of commercial, public sector, and residential developments, focusing on durable, energy-efficient products suited to rural and coastal environments.

According to Webster, the division has developed long-standing relationships with clients over several decades, supporting projects from initial specification through to aftercare.

Key features of the Scotland North operation include:

  • Experience in managing logistics and installation in remote and coastal areas.
  • Support for small-scale and off-grid housing developments with a focus on long-term performance.
  • Collaboration on net-zero and retrofit projects, often involving timber construction and conservation requirements.
  • A dedicated Hardware Department based in Aberdeen, providing UK-wide support for replacement parts and components.

In parallel, the Scotland South division continues to evolve in response to the construction sector’s changing needs. Led by regional director David Gillon and sales director Graham Meldrum, the team works across public and private sector projects, supporting partners from early-stage design through to final installation.

The division engages with a broad range of stakeholders, including housing associations, contractors, and self-builders, helping address challenges such as regulatory compliance, material availability, and labour constraints. This includes preparing for upcoming requirements like the Future Homes Standard and Scotland’s net-zero targets.

Nicola Webster said: “Scotland North has often been described as the cornerstone of the NorDan UK business. As the first location for NorDan in the UK, we have proudly supplied the region with high-quality products for over 40 years.

“During this time, we have built strong, lasting relationships with our customers, founded on service, trust and a strong commitment to quality. Our dedicated team supports projects from specification, all the way through to site support and aftercare, always focused on delivering the best possible outcomes for our customers.

“With established offices in Aberdeen and Inverness and a growing sales presence, we are well placed to serve the needs of our customers across the region and strengthen our position as a leading supplier in the market.”

David Gillon added: “Scotland South is a fully operational sales and product support unit with a clear purpose: to remove friction for our customers, adapt quickly to changing site conditions, and support successful project delivery in a challenging construction environment.

“From energy regulations to material logistics and skilled labour shortages, we’re helping our customers navigate complexity with confidence.”
