Sarah Carruthers
Persimmon Homes East Scotland has appointed Sarah Carruthers as its new technical director.
Set to begin her role in mid-November, Sarah joins the East Scotland business from Persimmon North Scotland, where she has worked since 2020. Beginning her career there as an architectural technician, she rose through the ranks to become technical manager, demonstrating exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to quality.
With more than a decade of experience in the housebuilding industry, Sarah brings a wealth of knowledge in design, planning, and construction. In her new role, she will be responsible for overseeing the technical operations of Persimmon Homes East Scotland, including the day-to-day management of the technical team.
Sarah will oversee the delivery of new developments already underway throughout the region, including in Falkirk, Stirling, the Lothians, Midlothian, the Borders, and Edinburgh. She will also play a key role in helping Persimmon – an HBF five-star housebuilder – continue to deliver high-quality, energy-efficient, and sustainable homes across the region.
“I’m incredibly proud to be stepping into this new role and continuing my journey with Persimmon,” Sarah said. “After several years with the North Scotland team, I’m excited to take on a new challenge with East Scotland and help deliver homes that our customers and communities can be proud of.”
Neil Parry, managing director at Persimmon Homes East Scotland, added: “Sarah’s appointment is a fantastic addition to our regional leadership team. She brings great experience, proven ability, and a deep understanding of Persimmon’s technical standards.
“We’re delighted to welcome her to East Scotland as we continue to grow our operations and deliver high-quality homes across the region.”
