Saveheat Group appoints Ken MacDougall as head of affordable housing division

A window and door manufacturer has recruited former Govanhill Housing Association head of development and regeneration Ken MacDougall to head up its affordable housing division.

Based at its head office and manufacturing plant in Greenock, the Saveheat Group of companies located comprises Blairs Windows and Doors, Blairs Aluminium, Merlin Network and Saveheat Glass - manufacturing timber, aluminium and PVCu window and door solutions as well as glass.

Bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience in respect of the social and affordable housing sector, Ken has worked in the Registered Social Landlord (RSL) sector for over 40 years, delivering significant new and refurbished housing projects during this time. He has also been involved with large scale component replacement programmes including window replacements and is no stranger to the Blairs window and door products - recognised as manufacturing high quality products since 1913.



Blairs has been a key supplier of windows and doors to housing associations over many years and through the appointment of Ken, is seeking to support its existing clients, whilst broadening its customer base in this particular sector. Over the last few years, Blairs have partnered with installers to manufacture thousands of windows for Shettleston Housing Association, Parkhead Housing Association and Kingdom Housing Association amongst others.
