Savills has expanded its presence in the Highlands with the acquisition of Rennie Property Consultants, welcoming Sandy Rennie into its Inverness office.

Sandy is a Chartered Surveyor with decades of experience across the Highlands, Islands and Moray. His work includes advising landowners, developers, commercial clients and institutions including strategic consultancy for Highlands and Islands Enterprise.

He brings exceptional regional knowledge and a depth of expertise that will further strengthen our professional services in the north.

Sandy specialises in buying, selling and managing property assets; landlord and tenant advisory; investment brokerage; valuation; rent reviews; commercial property management; and both residential and commercial development land consultancy.

His expertise covers the full spectrum of property markets in the Highlands - from large rural estates to commercial and public-sector assets, supporting private individuals, public bodies, pension funds, community organisations and local businesses.

A timely expansion as the region enters a transformative era

With the region experiencing strong economic growth - driven by major green energy projects, space technology, tourism and food manufacturing - the Inverness and Cromarty Firth Green Freeport is forecast to deliver significant inward investment and job creation, further strengthening the region’s property markets.

Sandy Rennie said:  “I am proud to live and work in the Highland capital and to support clients across a landscape that attracts people from all over the world. Inverness is a gateway to the Islands, the Far North, the Cairngorm National Park and Speyside - and its property market is underpinned by both its stability and its ambition.

“With major green energy projects and the Green Freeport driving demand, this is an exceptionally exciting time for the region. By joining Savills, I can offer clients an even broader range of expertise, backed by the strength of a national and international network.”

Ewan Harris, head of Savills Inverness, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sandy to Savills. His reputation, insight and long-standing relationships across the Highlands and Islands are second to none. Many of us have worked alongside him on projects over the years, so it is a pleasure to now have him in the Savills team.

“Sandy will continue to deliver the trusted advice his clients know him for, while benefitting from the additional depth, data and specialist support available across our offices in Inverness, Aberdeen, Scotland and the wider UK. His arrival strengthens our ability to advise on all aspects of rural, commercial and residential land and property at a time of significant regional opportunity.”

Savills Inverness office supports clients across northern Scotland, offering expertise in rural estate management, planning, building consultancy, lettings, valuations, compulsory purchase and estate agency, with a reach covering the Highlands, Speyside and Aberdeenshire.

Complementing these core services, the office also provides in‑house architectural and building surveying support, advising on projects ranging from traditional rural properties to larger residential and commercial schemes.

The integration of Rennie Property Consultants enhances this full-service model, bringing an additional layer of strategic commercial and development expertise to Savills northern client base.
