Scotframe to end manufacturing in Inverurie

Scotframe is set to shut down its Inverurie factory and make changes to its product range following a strategic review.

The timber frame manufacturer has announced plans to relocate its manufacturing operations from Inverurie to its Cumbernauld site, which it said will better support its customers and ensure continuous supply.

It intends to withdraw the Valutherm+ system, which is currently manufactured in Inverurie, from the market at the end of 2025.

Scotframe also says it will no longer supply internal and external doors, site-fitted windows, and supplementary finishes such as staircases, skirting and architraves.

“These changes reflect our focus on the simplification of supply chain, the reduction of carbon emissions through delivery and transportation, and aligns with group-wide supply chain priorities,” it said in a statement.

It added: “We will continue to offer alternative timber frame systems, including open and closed panel systems with mineral wool or PIR insulation.

“Our technical team is available to help you achieve your thermal performance goals using our alternative systems, including Thermistud and EnveoVent.

“These systems offer robust thermal performance and are fully compliant with current standards.”
