Vertical transportation and façade access consultancy TÜV SÜD Dunbar Boardman has made a senior appointment in Glasgow to strengthen its management team and support organic growth for the business.

Scott Barclay joins as regional director for Scotland, Ireland & North East England regions and will have responsibility for driving the business strategy for the region. Scott said he recognises the exceptional strengths within the TÜV SÜD Dunbar Boardman business and aims to drive organic growth whilst still maintaining the core brand values that clients know and trust.

Scott joins the business after many successful years at KONE where he started his career as an apprentice/lift engineer, quickly progressing through various senior regional sales positions and focusing on building long term sustainable client relationships. He has worked in the industry for 30 years, the last 15 years spent in account management and responsible for leading business development in all areas, working with national account managers to ensure the very best client service is delivered and maintained. This extensive experience spans across a variety of sectors, on both a UK and global platform – all of which brings significant business acumen that will significantly contribute to the success of TÜV SÜD Dunbar Boardman.

Scott Barclay said: “I am delighted to become part of TÜV SÜD Dunbar Boardman and join an enthusiastic and forward-looking team. I look forward to 2019 and I’m excited about what we can achieve working together.”

Vertical transportation consultant Louisa McCollum has also been appointed to the firm’s Belfast office. Moving to her new role in 2019, Louisa has 10 years’ experience working at ORONA delivering maintenance and new installation of lifts across Northern Ireland.

The appointment will support lead vertical transportation consultant Dave Neill and vertical transportation consultants Simon Lancaster and Darren Taylor in TÜV SÜD Dunbar Boardman’s well-established Dublin office.

Allan McGill, managing director of TÜV SÜD Dunbar Boardman and TÜV SÜD Real Estate UK division, said: “I’m pleased to announce the appointment of Scott and Louisa which will enhance our Scotland, Ireland & North East England regions and support our growth plans within the UK business. I wish Scott and Louisa every success in their new roles and I’m confident they will both help drive our business forward, in the months and years ahead.”
