SES Engineering Services has reported a 55% rise in turnover to a record £463.7 million in 2024, with profit before tax up 60% to £9.3m.
The mechanical, electric and plumbing (MEP) specialist has also seen its forward order book grow from £510m to £1.2 billion, which it said will provide solid foundations as it strives to become the UK’s most profitable and sustainable engineering and technology business.
SES has a workforce of 890 full-time employees across the UK, including over 100 apprentices.
Rob Clifford, executive managing director, said: “Our transformation extends beyond mere growth. In line with our purpose, we’re reimagining the future of technology in construction.
“Through sustained investment in advanced digital engineering, smart technologies and off-site manufacturing, combined with striving for excellence in delivery, we are positioning ourselves to become the most profitable and sustainable engineering and technology business in UK construction.”
A significant element of the growth strategy has been the restructuring of the core engineering business into three regions: North, Central and South. This has enabled the company to provide improved national coverage, operating out of seven offices.
The restructuring has resulted in several key appointments, strengthening the leadership team and enhancing operational capabilities. Further appointments are planned for later this year, to help the business drive innovation in sustainable engineering solutions and expand its digital expertise.
